Job summary

HD Supply delivers customer orders using company-provided or rental vehicles. The driver maintains records, inspects vehicles, and ensures safe, on-time deliveries while providing courteous service on order and delivery issues.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, acceptable MVR status, and adherence to DOT regulations. MVR monitoring is conducted, and some overnight travel may occur.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Wholesale distribution experience.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR status.
• No more than 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past rolling 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders safely within a service area and interfaces with customers on order issues.
• Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using material handling equipment; provides professional customer service.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure orders and daily routes are complete and accurate.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
• Maintains contact with the distribution center for delivery interruptions and updates on routes.
• Prepares and maintains vehicle and customer order records per company policy.
• Contacts customers to provide updates on delivery statuses.
• Provides feedback to management on escalated customer service and sales-related issues.
