Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery driver to service customers with company-provided or rental vehicles. The role involves safe delivery, record-keeping of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and handling customer service on order and delivery issues.

An acceptable MVR and valid license are required. Responsibilities include following delivery routes, loading/unloading with material handling equipment, and maintaining communication with the distribution center regarding delays or missing orders.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 minor accidents in 3 years and no more than 2 moving violations.
• Wholesale distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders safely within a service area and interface with customers on order issues.
• Follow planned routes and ensure timely deliveries while complying with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load inventory into trucks and unload at customer sites using material handling equipment.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and communicate updates on orders and statuses.
• Review manifests to ensure accuracy of daily routes and orders.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and internal policies.
