Job description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
3. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operation.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day's end.
9. Clock in/out according to company policy.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, and handling core returns as assigned.
11. Assist customers, serve as a cashier, or support merchandising tasks as needed.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Driving record must meet company standards (14/18-point system).
• Valid state driver’s license and eligibility to drive per company requirements.
• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish preferred.
