Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Delivery Route Driver in Virginia Beach to load the route vehicle, transport products to client locations, and keep cold items properly refrigerated. You will deliver to vending attendants and collect paperwork, while maintaining vehicle care and good customer relations.

Applicants should be at least 21, hold a valid license (CDL not required), pass the DOT physical, lift up to 50 pounds, and demonstrate strong organization, time management, and independent work

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations.
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations.
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck.
• Deliver products and food to vending attendants at client locations.
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants at client locations.
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise.
• Communicate positively with fellow team members and customers by making eye contact and smiling.
• Manage the care of the company vehicle.
