Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a reliable Delivery Route Driver to join our team in Ohio. This full-time role involves loading the vehicle, driving to client locations, and ensuring cold items stay refrigerated during transit.

You will deliver products to vending attendants and collect paperwork while maintaining vehicle upkeep and providing friendly service. The ideal candidate is at least 21, has a clean driving record, and can pass the DOT physical.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Load the company vehicle with all products needed to service locations.
• Drive to client locations to deliver products and food.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold items during transport.
• Deliver products to vending attendants at client locations.
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants.
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise.
• Communicate positively with team members and customers.
• Maintain care of the company vehicle.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck
• Deliver products and food to vending attendants at client locations
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants at client locations
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise
• Communicate positively with fellow team members and customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
