Job summary

The Delivery Supervisor is a hands-on leader coordinating all delivery operations for Johnson Brothers of Nebraska, guiding routing, driver performance, and fleet readiness to ensure safety and exceptional customer service.

They manage a team of drivers, collaborate with routing, warehouse, and sales to resolve issues quickly and maintain efficient schedules, leading by example and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in delivery operations or transportation supervision.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
• Familiarity with routing software (RoadNet preferred) and GPS tracking systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; AS400 experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours to support delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and manage delivery drivers with engagement and accountability.
• Hold weekly team meetings to communicate updates and priorities.
• Manage onboarding and ensure completion of all training tasks.
• Support retention through positive engagement and development; perform ride-alongs.
• Ensure completion of all required training and certifications.
• Monitor daily routes and provide feedback to routing for optimization.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to resolve loading and delivery issues.
• Interface with customers to resolve discrepancies and maintain relationships.
