Johnson Brothers is seeking a Delivery Supervisor to lead a team of drivers, coordinate routing, and ensure safety and on-time delivery across Nebraska. You will work with routing, warehouse, and sales teams to prevent issues and maintain efficient schedules.

The role emphasizes leadership, talent development, and operational excellence, with a hands-on approach and a focus on customer service and compliance with DOT standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in delivery ops or transportation supervision.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
• Experience with routing software (RoadNet preferred) and GPS tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AS400 experience preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours to support delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and manage delivery drivers, ensuring engagement and accountability.
• Hold weekly team meetings to communicate updates and priorities.
• Manage onboarding and ensure completion of training tasks.
• Support retention through positive engagement and development.
• Perform ride-alongs and coaching to support drivers.
• Ensure completion of all required training and certifications.
• Monitor daily routes and provide feedback for optimization.
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales to resolve loading and delivery issues.
• Interface with customers to resolve discrepancies and maintain relationships.
• Ensure DVIR completion and compliance with DOT documentation.
• Track and address safety concerns, including harsh driving.
• Promote adherence to safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and communicate truck status.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, signage, and safety.
• Identify and address performance issues such as excessive idling.
