Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Delivery Manager based in the United States. The Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end technology delivery across multiple enterprise client engagements, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This leadership role spans software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, enterprise integrations, and managed services. You will oversee distributed onshore and offshore teams, translating client requirements into structured delivery plans while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and scalability. The role combines technical oversight with budget management, resource planning, and gross-margin accountability. As a trusted partner to executive stakeholders, you will guide client relationships, resolve escalations, and drive successful delivery outcomes. You will also champion modern engineering practices, AI-enabled solutions, and automation to improve productivity and support long-term account growth.

Accountabilities
  • Lead technical delivery and architectural oversight across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, enterprise integrations, and managed services engagements.
  • Review solution architectures, technical estimates, dependencies, and implementation plans to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Promote modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, reliability engineering, and structured release management.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery across multiple client accounts, overseeing scope, timelines, budgets, quality, risks, and client satisfaction.
  • Translate Statements of Work (SOWs) into detailed delivery plans with clear milestones, staffing models, governance processes, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own engagement financial performance, including budgeting, resource utilization, forecasting, and gross margins, proactively addressing budget overruns and profitability risks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop geographically distributed teams, balancing technical complexity, cost efficiency, and delivery risk across onshore and offshore operations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for executive client stakeholders, facilitating governance meetings, quarterly service reviews, conflict resolution, and recovery plans for underperforming engagements.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Solutions teams on RFPs, RFIs, presales estimates, SOW development, commercial assumptions, and strategic account expansion.
  • Identify and implement AI tools, automation solutions, and testing frameworks to improve delivery speed, operational efficiency, and service quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of overall technology experience, including 5 or more years leading technical delivery across multiple projects or enterprise client accounts.
  • Proven experience in IT services, technology consulting, systems integration, or managed services environments.
  • Strong engineering or architecture expertise, with deep knowledge in at least one technical domain and broad working knowledge of application development, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for engagement financials, including budgeting, staffing models, resource utilization, delivery profitability, and gross-margin performance.
  • Experience managing and mentoring distributed teams across onshore and offshore delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, DevOps practices, software development lifecycle (SDLC) governance, and production support operations.
  • Ability to assess and challenge technical estimates, architectural decisions, implementation assumptions, and delivery plans.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive stakeholder management, conflict resolution, technical escalations, and troubled-account recovery.
  • Preferred experience delivering enterprise solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms and SaaS ecosystems such as ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable solutions.
  • Experience implementing AI-enabled solutions, automation frameworks, or enterprise security and compliance measures is an advantage.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are desirable.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work standard business hours with flexibility for global time-zone coordination and offshore teams. Occasional travel for client visits or reviews may be required.
Benefits

  • Performance bonus in addition to base salary.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Life insurance and short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Paid holidays and a Paid Time Off (PTO) program that meets or exceeds applicable Washington paid sick leave requirements.
