Job summary

QXO in Salt Lake City is seeking a Delivery Helper to join our team. You will work with Drivers to safely deliver and unload building materials at homes and jobsites, verify orders, and support efficient deliveries while providing great service.

You will assist with loading, using proper techniques, assess site hazards, and communicate with Dispatch. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a dependable, safety-minded attitude.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and conditions.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a delivery team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of building products to customer homes, businesses, and construction jobsites.
• Safely load, unload, carry, and position building materials using proper material-handling techniques.
• Assist with rooftop, ground-drop, and other jobsite delivery methods based on product and site conditions.
• Verify order contents and quantities before loading and delivery to ensure accuracy.
• Assist Drivers with preparing and securing loads for safe transportation.
• Help assess jobsite conditions and identify potential hazards before unloading materials.
• Assist Drivers with navigating tight or challenging delivery locations.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and unloading.
• Maintain communication with Drivers and Dispatch to support timely deliveries.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and jobsite personnel.
• Maintain daily commitment to safety and follow all PPE requirements.
