Job summary

QXO is hiring a Delivery Helper to support our drivers in delivering and unloading building materials to customer homes and jobsites. You will verify orders, assist with loading and securing loads, and help ensure safe, accurate, and timely deliveries while delivering excellent service.

Based in Utah, you will work outdoors in varying weather, perform physically demanding tasks, and maintain a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and communication with drivers and customers daily.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and position building materials of varying sizes and weights.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a delivery team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing delivery and jobsite conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned branch location.
• Previous building materials, construction, warehouse, delivery, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Drivers with the safe and efficient delivery of building products and materials to customer homes, businesses, and construction jobsites.
• Safely load, unload, carry, and position building materials using proper material‑handling techniques and equipment.
• Assist with rooftop, ground-drop, and other jobsite delivery methods based on the product, equipment, and site conditions.
• Support the unloading of materials from delivery trucks, conveyor booms, forklifts, or other approved delivery equipment when applicable.
• Verify order contents and quantities before loading and delivery to help ensure order accuracy.
• Assist Drivers with preparing and securing loads for safe transportation.
• Help assess jobsite conditions and identify potential hazards before unloading materials.
• Assist Drivers with navigating tight or challenging delivery locations when needed.
• Handle products carefully to help prevent material damage during loading, transportation, and unloading.
• Maintain communication with Drivers and Dispatch to support timely and efficient deliveries.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and jobsite personnel.
• Maintain a daily commitment to safety and follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist with general warehouse, yard, loading, or delivery operations as needed.
