Job summary

QXO is hiring for a physically demanding delivery loader role at our Howell, MI branch. You will unload building products and shingles from rooftops or assist with ground drop operations, verify orders, and support delivery operations.

Safety is prioritized, with strict PPE usage and adherence to procedures. The role requires reliable transportation, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the willingness to work outdoors in all weather, including heights.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to reach branch locations.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a regular basis.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Not afraid of heights and able to work on elevated areas.
• Strong attention to detail in loading/unloading.
• Commitment to following all safety procedures and PPE rules.
• Willingness to learn and follow company processes.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload building products and bundles of shingles from conveyor boom from first or second story rooftop.
• Assist with ground drop operations when rooftop delivery is not feasible.
• Verify order contents prior to loading onto delivery truck.
• Assist with delivery operations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.

What You’ll Do

• Safely unload building products and multiple bundles of shingles from conveyor boom from first or second story rooftop
• In certain instances where rooftop delivery is not feasible, the roof loader will provide support to the driver by assisting with ground drop operations at the designated job site
• Verify order contents prior to loading them onto the delivery truck
• Assist with delivery operations
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
