Job summary

Third Coast Distributing, doing business as NAPA Auto Parts, is seeking a Delivery Driver to provide outstanding customer experiences while delivering parts across South and Central Texas. You will report to the Store Manager and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

The role requires a clean driving record, 2+ years driving experience, 18+ years old, and a high school diploma or equivalent. CDL not required; valid license and local delivery familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Familiarity with automotive parts is desirable.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL not required.
• Local, customer-focused delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer experiences while meeting customers during deliveries.
• Drive a delivery vehicle to transport parts and products to customers, including the loading and unloading of parts.
• Pick up parts from other stores or outside vendors, ensure stock room parts are accurately stocked and maintain/check inventory.
• Maintain a distribution log or tracking system to record all deliveries/pickups made.
• Maintain store delivery truck through adherence to safety checklists, ensuring vehicle is clean, and that basic maintenance is done.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to store manager.
• Drive safely and defensively, adhering to all company safety standards.
• Follows all company policies, procedures, dress code and management direction, including all fleet and safety policies.

About The Role:

About You:

The idealcandidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• A minimum of 2years’ driving experience.
• Familiarity with automotive parts is desired but not required.
• Must be at leasteighteen (18) years of age or older.
• High School diplomaor equivalent.
• Knowledge ofcataloging and/or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Good organizationaland interpersonal communication skills.
• Frequent travelbetween locations by vehicle on behalf of the company; must possess andmaintain a current, valid driver’s license.
• Local,customer-focused delivery experience.
• Commercial Driver’sLicense (CDL) is not required.

EssentialPhysical Requirements

• Scan,handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequentlylifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting ormoving merchandise up to 60 pounds.
