Job summary

Capital Electric, a member of the Sonepar group, is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to load, load truck, deliver material to customers and branches, and build strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely, accurate delivery.

The role requires 2 years driving a 20 ft. box truck, ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and a commitment to safe driving and customer service. We offer PTO, parental leave, 401(k) with company match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience – 20 ft. box truck.
• Must be able to pass the DOT physical.
• No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck
• Create shipping manifests
• Perform truck maintenance inspections
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
• Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
• Unload and place material where customer requests
• Provide good customer service
• Pick-up customer returns
• Unload truck of customer returns
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
• Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
• Other duties as required
