Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to load and check material, deliver to customers or branches, and maintain positive relationships to ensure accurate, timely deliveries while upholding our reliable delivery reputation.

Responsibilities include loading, manifest creation, truck inspections, delivering to locations, unloading as requested, and providing exceptional customer service; must multi-task and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience with a 20 ft box truck
• Must pass the DOT physical
• No traffic violations or license suspensions in the last year
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally
• Reliable, responsible and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Check material in staging area and load truck
• Create shipping manifests
• Perform truck maintenance inspections
• Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
• Drive defensively and professionally to various locations
• Unload and place material per customer requests
• Provide good customer service
• Pickup customer returns and unload returns
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
• Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day
• Other duties as required
