Job summary

East Coast Metal Distributors, Inc. is seeking a full-time delivery driver to safely transport metal products to customers in Roanoke, VA and surrounding areas.

You will load and unload, verify quantities, and provide courteous service while adhering to internal procedures. The role requires a clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen, and willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and safe driving record.
• Ability to operate mobile applications relevant to logistics.
• Capable of communicating clearly with customers and management.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a company vehicle to make timely pick-ups and deliveries.
• Loads and unloads products for delivery.
• Provides exceptional customer service to customers.
• Completes daily driver log and reports.
• Notifies management of discrepancies and vehicle/service needs.
• Operates forklift to move materials when required (may).
• Maintains organized, clean and safe delivery vehicle.
• Assists in warehouse operations and order processing as needed.
