Job summary

East Coast Metal Distributors, Inc. is seeking a delivery driver to support branch operations in Chattanooga. You will expedite customer orders, verify items, and maintain an organized warehouse environment.

You will deliver products to customers in a courteous and efficient manner and be responsible for safe vehicle operation and documentation of deliveries. Key requirements include a clean driving record, ability to pass a DOT physical, and willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends

Qualifications

• Must maintain a clean driving record with no more than allowed violations.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and provide superior service.
• Strong customer-facing skills and professional demeanor.
• Must be 21 years of age or older; pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• CDL driving experience as applicable; non-CDL drivers welcome with verifiable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Expedite customer orders and support branch operations.
• Deliver products to customers in a professional, courteous, and expeditious manner.
• Verify items and quantities, and document arrivals into inventory.
• Maintain clean, safe delivery vehicle and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with loading/unloading and processing sales orders for delivery.
• Notify management of discrepancies or equipment/ safety issues.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
