Job summary

Watkins Distributing is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver with a Class A CDL for local Idaho/Montana routes. The role involves delivering products, merchandising displays, and ensuring accuracy across a 4-day 10-hour shift schedule.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage route paperwork, and coordinate with sales and retail staff to meet customer requirements. Prior delivery experience and a clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and valid medical card.
• Ability to safely maneuver a fully loaded hand truck.
• Ability to operate standard handheld computer and route management devices.

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Drive a designated route, delivering products safely and efficiently while complying with DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
• Verify deliveries with store personnel and check in all products on arrival.
• Ensure order accuracy by confirming quantities and obtaining customer signatures.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery.
• Rotate products according to freshness and merchandising standards.
• Retrieve empty keg shells, damaged merchandise, and incorrectly ordered products for return credit.
• Collect invoices and complete route documentation daily.
• Maintain communication with sales representatives and retail account personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver: Class A CDL is responsible for local delivery and merchandising activities within an assigned territory, ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and professionally.

The work schedule consists of 4, 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Drive a designated route, delivering products safely, efficiently, and professionally while complying with all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
• Verify deliveries with store personnel and check in all products upon arrival.
• Ensure order accuracy by confirming quantities and obtaining customer signatures.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery.
• Rotate products according to company freshness and merchandising standards.
• Retrieve empty keg shells, damaged merchandise, and incorrectly ordered products for return credit.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20-30 lbs. and lift up to 160 lbs. to waist level. Duties require frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Work independently while servicing multiple retail accounts throughout the day.
• Safely operate delivery vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions.
