Watkins Distributing in Jerome, ID is seeking a Delivery Driver with a Class A CDL to manage local routes within an assigned territory. You will deliver beverages safely, verify deliveries, unload with pallet jack, and maintain accurate route documentation.

The role requires a clean driving record, the ability to obtain/maintain a Class A CDL and medical card, and comfort operating route management devices. The schedule features four 10-hour shifts, with benefits after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and valid medical card.
• Ability to safely maneuver a fully loaded hand truck.
• Ability to operate standard handheld computer and route management devices.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspection.
• Drive designated local route delivering products safely and professionally.
• Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack or hand truck.
• Verify deliveries with store personnel and obtain customer signatures.
• Ensure order accuracy and check in all products on arrival.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery.
• Rotate products according to freshness and merchandising standards.
• Collect invoices and complete route documentation daily.
• Maintain communication with sales representatives and retail accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Delivery Driver: Class A CDL is responsible for local delivery and merchandising activities within an assigned territory, ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and professionally.

The work schedule consists of 4, 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment.
• Drive a designated route, delivering products safely, efficiently, and professionally while complying with all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
• Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck.
• Verify deliveries with store personnel and check in all products upon arrival.
• Ensure order accuracy by confirming quantities and obtaining customer signatures.
• Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery.
• Rotate products according to company freshness and merchandising standards.
• Retrieve empty keg shells, damaged merchandise, and incorrectly ordered products for return credit.
• Collect invoices and complete all required route documentation on a daily basis.
• Maintain effective communication with sales representatives and retail account personnel.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20-30 lbs. and lift up to 160 lbs. to waist level. Duties require frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
• Work independently while servicing multiple retail accounts throughout the day.
• Safely operate delivery vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions.
