GSC Wholesale LLC in Houston, TX, is seeking a Professional Driver to begin with comprehensive training and coaching under the C&S Way. After successful completion of new hire training, you will deliver product with a focus on safety, service, and compliance with DOT regulations.

As a driver, you will handle loading/unloading, maintain equipment, and operate with 3–10 stops per day while traveling as needed. We offer paid training, weekly pay, and benefits from day one.

Formación

• CDL Class A with DOT certification and ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to meet FMCSR and company policies.
• Experience with safe, on-time delivery and customer service focus.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle and deliver product safely to customers.
• Load/unload ambient or temperature sensitive goods at 3–10 stops per day.
• Inspect and document equipment compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, you will operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc…), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product
• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
• Warehouse : Store/Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Skills

• Specialized Knowledge : DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Special Skills : Must be at least 21 years old
• Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Other: : Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements

Years Of Experience

• 1-2 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment
• 1-2 : One year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
