Job summary

Hand Family Companies is seeking a Delivery Driver with a Class A CDL to serviceHalsted St routes in Chicago, IL. You will deliver and merchandise products, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain truck readiness.

Adhere to DOT regulations, ensure timely deliveries, and collaborate with the Delivery Manager for coaching opportunities. This role requires a valid CDL A and up-to-date DOT certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Driving record acceptable to the Company.
• Class A CDL required.
• DOT certificate up-to-date.
• Personal auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and merchandize products on the assigned route.
• Conduct a daily Pre-Tip inspection of the vehicle.
• Ensure all required tools and equipment are on the truck.
• Move product into stores, restaurants and bars.
• Rotate products to maintain freshness.
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with DOT regulations.
• Follow delivery structure and identify spot-sales opportunities.
• Participate in coaching and training days with management.
• Complete deliveries within 12 hours or less as required by DOT.

# Delivery Driver- CDLALSB-Halsted St - Chicago, IL 60609## OverviewSalary Range$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 Commission/year## DescriptionThis position is accountable for delivery and merchandizing of all products on an assigned route.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Adhere to Company programs and policies that will result in the safe execution of timely delivery, maximized sales, and minimized returns.* Conduct a daily Pre-Tip inspection of his/her assigned vehicle.* Ensures all required tools and equipment are available on the truck.* Move product into stores, restaurants and bars.* Rotate products already in inventory inside the store to maintain freshness.* Maintain a clean driving record.* Adhere to all DOT regulations.* Follow the approved delivery structure and processes and will identify and fulfill spot sales opportunities.* Maintain product freshness and move product when necessary.* Will participate in “work with” and “ride with” days with the Delivery Manager and Delivery Team Leader to obtain coaching and training opportunities in the field.* Must maintain a pace of work that enables drivers to complete their deliveries in 12 hours or less due to DOT regulations.SAFETY Due to the physical requirements, as well as the need to maintain a high level of continual alertness in the work environment, this is a safety-sensitive position.## QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* Must be at least 21 years of age* High School diploma/GED* Must have a driving record acceptable to the Company* Class A CDL required* DOT certificate up-to-date* Personal auto insurance
