Job summary

Holmes Lumber, a division of Carter Lumber, seeks a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders to local jobsites and ensure timely, safe delivery using our fleet. You will unload materials on site with a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift.

Candidates should have delivery experience, a valid CDL and forklift proficiency. A crew-focused mindset and familiarity with building materials are preferred, with room for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Prior delivery experience, ideally with building materials.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift.
• A valid CDL license and clean driving record are required.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Strong ability to work in a team and support co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites safely and on time using company fleet.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during delivery.
• Unload materials on site using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and place them accurately.

Description

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed ortruck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
