Job summary

Holmes Lumber, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking a CDL Delivery Specialist to transport orders to local customer jobsites using our fleet. You will ensure timely deliveries and maintain a high standard of service for customers.

On-site duties include unloading with a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift and placing materials where needed, while upholding safety protocols and teamwork across the branch network.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials.
• Current CDL license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to local customer jobsites safely and on schedule.
• Unload on site using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place materials as required.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during delivery.

Description:

As one of our CDL Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. While on site, you will unload using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them.

Requirements:

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
• Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
• An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
