Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company in Columbus, OH, is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver to service our account base with a fast-paced beverage portfolio. You will operate a route within Ohio/Kentucky, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and deliver products safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, may require a CDL, passes a drug screen and background check, and demonstrates strong customer service and DOT rule knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• CDL may be required; ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work flexible shifts as needed.
• Strong customer service skills and knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
• Positive attitude with excellent attendance and reliability.
• Good communication, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis.
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow associates.
• Assist the warehouse as needed.
• Understand documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Secure company property, maintain a clean workplace.
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
