Job summary

Heidelberg Distributing Company is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver in Columbus, Ohio to ensure the safe, accurate delivery of beer, wine, and other products to our account base across the assigned territory.

The role requires a customer‑facing, fast‑paced mindset with strong communication. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 6 AM to 4 PM, with potential additional hours; starting pay is $20.00 per hour and benefits follow after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid standard Driver’s license and meet insurance requirements.
• Candidates with a CDL must be able to pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts if needed.
• Must have strong customer service skills and a strong understanding of DOT rules and regulations.
• Must have a positive, winning attitude and excellent attendance record.
• Must be a fast-paced individual with strong work ethic.
• Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Regular, consistent attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections completed on a daily basis.
• Deliveries made in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate effectively and with respect to customers and fellow associates.
• Assist the warehouse as needed.
• Must be able to understand documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Secure company property at all times including cash, checks and company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and effective workplace.
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
