  • Return to the office by 4:30 pm and offload the vehicle.

Department: Pick-up and Delivery (P&D) Driver
Hourly/Full-time 8:00 am to 5:00 pm*) Monday thru Friday
Reports to: Office Manager, Area Supervisors, and Executive Director
Summary Of Responsibilities

The Pick-up and Delivery Driver (P&D) serves as a valuable member of our ROCK SOLID team and represents the company in a professional manner. The P&D is responsible for delivering supplies and equipment to specified locations following a prepared schedule. The P&D must be efficient, organized and able to communicate effectively on a daily basis. This person must keep accurate records and notes for each location. (There may be work on the weekends-but this may be adjusted during the week to respect days off).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This position requires that a person walk distances and stand for periods of time. Also, required is climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, stooping, reaching, carrying multiple items, lifting at least 50lbs, etc. in order to deliver supplies and equipment. Responsibilities include installing equipment, mounting or dismounting equipment, assembling or disassembling equipment and tasked to troubleshoot equipment. This job will require the use of protective gear as a safeguard from exposure to chemicals, dust, oils, grit, grime, other soils, frayed cords, wires, and other potentially hazardous conditions. The P&D will use different tools and equipment to complete tasks for which protective gear is necessary.

Supplies
  • Review delivery orders using the Inventory Sheets prior to leaving warehouse

and delivering complete supply/equipment orders to designated location.

  • Completing Inventory Sheets at the location and returning completed sheets to the appropriate inbox at the office daily.
  • Organizing supplies and/or equipment at the drop-off location; notating anything of importance and reporting concerns to supervisor (such as broken equipment, laundry inconsistencies, supply concerns, etc)
  • Inspection of closets and other locations where supplies are stored to include equipment and chemicals. Note findings.
  • Physical counts of inventory items in buildings at each visit. Counts are logged on Inventory Sheets that are turned in daily.
  • Transporting soiled items to and from laundering facility for special cleaning.
Equipment
  • Inspect equipment at each location; log information at each site and prepare report findings for weekly meetings.
  • Return broken equipment to the warehouse; document the return with correct identification and location numbers. Delivery of replacement equipment will schedule prior to site visit and left in place of returned broken items; document identification numbers and exchange information.
Fleet: This process starts each workday following inbox checks. The P&D driver should be prepared to leave the warehouse to begin the route by 10am daily or as soon as the truck is ready for delivery.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections for Rock Solid Fleet prior to the start of the delivery day (all vehicles).
  • Check fuel levels, other fluid levels and replenish them as necessary.
  • Document and immediately report any visible concerns or needed repairs.
  • Check binder for left paperwork, keys and other items to be brought into the office and placed in supply inbox.
Warehouse 1.

Assist with organizing equipment and supplies.

  • Assist with the set-up of New Contracts and/or take down of Ending Contracts.
  • Washing and drying dirty rags and mopheads collected from buildings in warehouse washer and dryer.
  • Delivering and picking up dirty mopheads to the laundromat to be laundered.

The P&D Driver should return to the office no later than 4:30pm* (or sooner depending on schedules; scheduled workday is subject to change depending on a supply availability and/or customer’) allowing time to offload the vehicle and submit completed paperwork. Returned supplies and equipment should offload from the vehicle into the warehouse and stored in appropriate locations (this includes but is not limited to separating soiled laundry, broken equipment and returned supplies). Only a small surplus of ’emergency” clean laundry should be left on the truck. All completed Inventory Sheets are to be placed in the supply inbox for review. The assigned phone and keys should be left at the office.
