Job Overview

Department: Pick‑up and Delivery (P&D) Driver

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Monday‑Friday); may have weekend work as needed.

Reports to: Office Manager, Area Supervisors, and Executive Director

Summary of Responsibilities

The Pick‑up and Delivery Driver (P&D) represents ROCK SOLID professionally, delivers supplies and equipment to scheduled locations, maintains accurate records, and communicates effectively each day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs, bend, kneel, pull, push, stoop, reach, lift at least 50 lbs, and carry multiple items. Responsibilities include installing, mounting, disassembling, and troubleshooting equipment, always using protective gear.

Supplies

• Review delivery orders using Inventory Sheets before leaving the warehouse.
• Deliver complete supply/equipment orders to the designated location.
• Complete Inventory Sheets at the location and return them to the appropriate inbox daily.
• Organize supplies and equipment at drop‑off; note any concerns (broken equipment, inventory inconsistencies, etc.) and report to supervisor.
• Inspect storage closets and other supply locations; note findings.
• Conduct physical counts of inventory items at each visit and log on Inventory Sheets.
• Transport soiled items to and from the laundering facility for special cleaning.

Equipment

• Inspect equipment at each location; log information and prepare reports for weekly meetings.
• Return broken equipment to the warehouse with correct identification numbers.
• Schedule delivery of replacement equipment before site visits and document exchange information.

Fleet

• Conduct vehicle inspections for Rock Solid Fleet before each delivery day.
• Check fuel and other fluid levels; replenish as necessary.
• Document and report any visible concerns or needed repairs immediately.
• Check the binder for paperwork, keys, and other items needed at the office.

Warehouse

• Assist with organizing equipment and supplies.
• Set up new contracts and take down ending contracts.
• Wash and dry dirty rags and mopheads in warehouse washer and dryer.
• Deliver and pick up dirty mopheads to the laundromat for laundering.

Experience and Qualifications

1. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be insurable.
2. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
3. Efficient, organized, trainable, and able to follow directions.
4. Adaptable to scheduling changes and able to accept constructive criticism.
5. Motivated to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Maintain confidentiality and pass a state criminal background check.

Requirements

• Good driving record.
• Pass a criminal background check with no misdemeanors or felonies.
