Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and read English required
• 1 year dispatching experience
• Must be able to operate computer, smartphone, scanner
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of dispatching and fleet management principles
• Knowledge of dim lumber and panel products and other building materials
• Ability to read and interpret maps

Responsibilities

• Efficiently schedule delivery orders and credit returns
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct
• Keep yard clean and hold team accountable
• Introduce yourself to customers and vendors
• Ensure timely credit returns and prioritize backorders
• Ride along with drivers and shadow in yard
• Review productivity reports and identify improvement areas
• Complete required Blue-Volt training on time
• Ensure DOT compliance for weight/height/length
• Open and close yard as needed
