Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Pickup and Delivery Clerk. You will work with drivers to ensure paperwork for daily runs and assist dispatchers with administrative needs. This role supports OD’s family culture and OD Family values.

The position requires strong communication and hands-on experience with office tasks in a transportation setting. Benefits and career growth opportunities are available as part of the OD family.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, 1 year of office and/or operations experience in transportation is a plus.
• Experience in using handheld computers/scanners.
• Experience with AS400 preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Print drivers’ manifest and provide hazardous materials of lading.
• Scan bills of lading and driver receipts into the system for access by billers.
• Handle and process checks, CODs or cash and store money safely.
• Verify delivery receipts and signatures.
• Enter exception Driver’s Receipt data for pro numbers manually.
• Assist operations by monitoring reports such as EDI, spot trailer and shipment reports.
