Job summary

VML seeks a strategic Managing Director of Delivery to lead project management across a large national client in the CPG food space. The role acts as architect of the delivery operating model, driving growth, operational excellence, and client confidence.

The MD leads governance, resource strategy, and cross‑functional collaboration across Brand Experience, Commerce, Retail Activation, Experiential, and Growth initiatives, with a focus on scalable, connected delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading large-scale agency, consulting, marketing, digital, commerce, or transformation organizations.
• Experience managing complex, matrixed businesses exceeding $15M+ in annual revenue.
• Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep expertise in operational leadership, delivery management, organizational design, and transformation.
• Experience with brand, commerce, retail activation, agentic workflows, integrated marketing, and digital ecosystems.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven financial management experience.
• Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence across multiple organizations and leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Delivery and Operations function, governance, resource strategy, and operational health.
• Oversee delivery across all brands and client units, ensuring on-time, on-budget programs with high quality.
• Own workforce planning, talent deployment, and succession planning to build high-performing teams.
• Serve as a trusted operational advisor to senior stakeholders and lead difficult operational conversations.
• Own delivery P&L, forecast revenue, manage utilization and margins, and support new work onboarding.
• Lead transformations to increase scalability, simplify operations, and improve delivery effectiveness.
