Job summary

VML, part of WPP, seeks a strategic Managing Director of Delivery to lead project management for a large national client in the CPG food space. This executive role drives the operating model, governance, and end-to-end delivery across Brand Experience, Commerce, Retail Activation, and Experiential.

The MD will create a scalable delivery ecosystem, ensuring growth, operational excellence, talent development, and client confidence. They balance day-to-day rigor with long-term transformation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading large-scale agency, consulting, marketing, digital, commerce, or transformation organizations.
• Experience managing complex, matrixed businesses exceeding $15M+ in annual revenue.
• Demonstrated success leading large, multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep expertise in operational leadership, delivery management, organizational design, and transformation.
• Experience with brand, commerce, retail activation, agentic workflows, integrated marketing, and digital ecosystems.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven financial management experience.
• Exceptional executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence across multiple organizations and leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Delivery and Operations function, governance, prioritization, and resource strategy.
• Oversee programs across brand experience, commerce, retail activation, and experiences.
• Own delivery P&L and drive profitability through staffing and scope management.
• Institute metrics and reporting to improve delivery effectiveness and transformation.
• Partner with client leadership to identify opportunities and drive growth.
• Act as a trusted operational advisor to senior stakeholders.
