McLane Company, Inc. in Dothan, AL is hiring a Delivery Assistant to support our Delivery Driver. This fast-paced, physical role involves unload, move and store items, and help ensure on-time deliveries while representing the company to customers.

You must be at least 18, able to lift up to 75 pounds, and read, write, and understand English. We offer benefits starting after 60 days and a team-driven, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.
• Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.
• Assist the Driver's efforts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.
