RiseBoro is seeking an entry-level, part-time driver to deliver meals and food supplies to homebound clients in Brooklyn, NY. You will assist with meal packaging and record deliveries on route sheets.

  • Move unpacked and stored food and supplies as required.
  • Deliver supplies and paper goods to other agency programs and subcontractors.
  • Deliver program material and information to homebound clients.
  • Perform other duties as required by site supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver packed food to homebound clients and food satellites
  • Deliver holiday or emergency food packages to homebound clients
  • Assist with meal packaging
  • Record meal delivery and collect and record client contribution on route sheets
  • Notify coordinator of any changes in client’s status or inability to deliver
  • Move unpacked and stored food and supplies as required
  • Deliver supplies and paper goods to other agency programs and subcontractors
  • Deliver program material and information to homebound clients
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor of the site
COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to walk long distances and climb stairs
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Some knowledge of the area and/or ability to read maps and follow directions
  • Some knowledge of and a genuine concern for the physical, mental and emotional needs of older persons
  • Driver's License preferred but not essential.
