As a Delicatessen Clerk, this position will be responsible for handling food safely and maintaining a clean work area. You will operate the department registers, process payments, and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.
Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home; Food Service Director; Delicatessen Department Manager
Positions reporting to you: None
Less than high school or equivalent experience, with up to six months of related work experience.
Exposure to dust, noise, hazards, temperature extremes, and cleaning chemicals in a fast-paced environment.
Telephone, fax, copier, computer, kitchen utensils, slicer, scales, delivery van, and other tools.
Daily contact with customers, the public, and regulatory agencies.
Starting hourly wage: $13.50 to $16.80 depending on experience.
