Summary:
To provide quality customer service by maintaining and operating the Delicatessen Department efficiently within store policies. Proper performance of duties is essential to ensure healthful, sanitary, and suitable shopping conditions.

Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform duties safely and efficiently.
- Have basic knowledge of lunch meats and cheeses to assist and sell to customers.
- Greet customers and assist with slicing, cutting, weighing, packaging, and pricing products.
- Transport delicatessen stock to storage or shelves.
- Keep refrigerated cases and displays stocked, faced, and attractive.
- Rotate perishable merchandise according to policies and product dates.
- Assist in building displays for sales and turnover.
- Support inventory control, ordering, and supplies management.
- Assist in food preparation and receiving merchandise, checking quality and conditions.
- Handle damaged or spoiled products per procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Participate in training to improve skills and department processes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Meet physical requirements of the role.
- Provide light supervision and training to other associates as needed.
