Schnucks is hiring a Deli Clerk to join our store team in Monticello. You will help with preparing sandwiches and salads, slice meats and cheeses, and ensure a clean, safe deli area. Customer service and teamwork are essential in this busy, fast-paced setting.

Candidates must be available 12:00–20:30 Monday–Friday and 08:00–08:30 on weekends. Training will be provided; prior deli or food service experience is a plus. Equal opportunity employer and team-oriented environment.

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to demonstrate basic math skills (translate pounds and ounces into decimals).
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Hair restraint required (hair net or hat) and wear clean uniform and name tag.
• Consistent use of cut gloves and safe use of knives.
• Food preparation experience is a plus.
• Team player with a passion for serving customers.

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, in person and on the phone.
• Maintain a positive work environment and cleanliness of the deli area.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines; proper hygiene.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses; confirm thickness with customers.
• Assist with product restocking, rotation, and display preparation.
• Operate slicers, scales, wrapping equipment, and kitchen tools as trained.
