Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Anna, TX is hiring an Assistant Deli Manager to lead daily deli operations, ensure product quality, and maintain exceptional customer service. You will train staff, manage inventory, and coordinate with store leadership to promote department sales.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year related experience, and food safety certification. The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, standing, and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required.
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures hot and cold foods are prepared and displayed in accordance with Company standards.
• Works with deli personnel to promote department sales and customer service.
• Train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Review historical data regarding sales, ads and promotions; co-manage inventory.
