Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing and friendly with customers, handling special orders and phone inquiries.
• Proven leadership to motivate and manage staff with access to reports and sales data.
• Food Safety certification and adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in supervising and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and deli team supervision.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Lead team brainstorming to deliver high quality products and service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment; ensure safety guidelines are followed.
