Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to support the Deli Manager in ensuring products are fresh, rotated, and available for sale. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service to customers while maintaining strict HACCP and safety standards.

You will supervise shift activities, train staff, and coordinate with the Deli Manager to meet sales goals, control shrink, and uphold company policies in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and train team members, build relationships.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to manage warehouse operations effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen to others.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Warehouse, retail and/or customer service experience is a plus.
• Must be able to use handheld scanner, desktop computer and calculator.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a safe environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service in interactions.
• Communicate with customers and respond to questions promptly.
• Assist in product rotation, labeling and replenishment.
• Monitor inventory levels through cycle counts.
• Assist department manager with interviewing, hiring and scheduling.
• Adhere to safety, food-handling, and company policies.
• Perform other warehouse tasks as needed.
