Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead one of the busiest deli teams, promoting healthy food choices and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will assist in managing the department, oversee ordering and inventory, and mentor staff to deliver high-quality products and service while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. This role offers growth with a growing retailer.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with preferred 2 years supervisory experience in deli or related food service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to take directions in a team.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and maintain staff and understand reports and sales goals.
• Must maintain Food Safety certification and follow all safety, sanitation and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload and sort deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
