Job summary

Town Pump is seeking a motivated Store Deli Manager to lead deli operations and support the store manager. The role focuses on supervision, training, inventory, and safety, with emphasis on strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities include vendor coordination, daily walkthroughs, and strict adherence to Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. ServSafe certification and a valid driver’s license are required or may be waived by Deli Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification (may be waived by Deli Operations Manager).
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, and help control controllable expenses, sales costs, and shortages.
• Set an exemplary standard for coworkers in professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and store operations.
• Conduct new employee orientation and training; document performance and conduct evaluations.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs; prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on tasks.
• Maintain accurate inventories and deli merchandise; monitor and improve deli metrics.
• Maintain deli area sanitation, equipment maintenance, and safe food preparation; promote kitchen and store safety.
• Check in deli vendors, verify orders, and manage stock; remove miss-picks and expired items; maintain PLUs.
• Complete ServSafe certification (may be waived) and hold a valid Driver’s License with clean record.
