Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Specialist to ensure deli department excellence, maintain product freshness, and uphold food safety standards. You will support inventory accuracy, rotation, and presentation while engaging guests with courteous service.

Responsibilities include coordinating with leadership on ordering, receiving deliveries, and executing promotions and seasonal events. The role rewards teamwork, reliability, and a passion for quality food and guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow all policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
