Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to handle phones and take special orders.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without assistance.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping in the deli area to maintain cleanliness.
• Operate deli equipment and ensure safety and sanitation.
• Comply with safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; Food Handlers permit.
• Work in coolers and freezers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy foods by preparing ready-to-serve meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are well-prepared, priced, and displayed.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain deli products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, and scales per procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment; sweep and sanitize.
• Receive and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality.
