The role requires physical stamina, lifting up to 70 lbs, standing for long periods, and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Training emphasizes safety, sanitation, and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for distances up to 20 feet.
• Able to stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean deli area.
• Operate deli equipment safely and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to safety, health, and food safety regulations; obtain Food Handlers permit.
• Work in coolers and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and present deli items cleanly.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves and other deli equipment safely.
• Keep deli area and equipment clean and sanitary.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
