BriarPatch Co-op in Grass Valley, CA is seeking a Service Clerk to join the Deli. This full-time, 40 hours/week role involves preparing, displaying, sampling, and educating customers about the foods we sell, with a friendly, outgoing approach.

You will manage hot & cold bars, follow recipes, maintain par levels, stock duties, and assist with cross-promotions. BriarPatch offers excellent pay and benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching, FSA, and EAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CA Food Handlers certificate required or to be obtained.
• Previous deli/restaurant cook/chef experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, write reports, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inquiries and promote store products.
• Prepare salads and deli items per recipes and maintain par levels.
• Keep service cases fresh and fill shelves.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards.
• Participate in inventories and attend staff meetings.
