Dierbergs Markets is seeking a full-time Cook for the Deli/Seafood team. The role emphasizes cooking in a warm kitchen and includes duties such as preparing and cooking products, following food safety guidelines, and supporting deli/seafood operations.

Responsibilities include processing customer orders, maintaining temperatures, and promoting our deli/seafood offerings. The job requires flexibility for weekends/holidays and adherence to dress and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Adherence to our dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• A Hepatitis A vaccination (MO only).
• May be cross-trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook products in a warm kitchen.
• Follow safe food handling guidelines and avoid cross-contamination.
• Maintain temperatures and sanitation throughout production and storage.
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and clean equipment safely (knives, slicers, fryers, rotisseries, ovens, etc.).
• Prepare party trays and label products.
• Rotate products and check expiration dates.
