Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets is seeking a full-time Cook to support the Deli department. You will follow the Head Chef's directions, prep entrees, maintain hot foods displays, and uphold high customer service standards while complying with safety policies and dress code.

Responsibilities include setting up the hot foods case, maintaining inventory, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area. 18+ required; ability to lift 40 lbs is necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand English with sufficient proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Competent knowledge of Essential Functions of the Fryer.
• Responsible for maintaining kitchen inventory quality and quantities.
• Responsible for setting up hot foods case for the day.
• Responsible for merchandising and maintaining prepared foods.
• Prepare entrees for the hot and cold food displays.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen area.
• Maintain cooperation with supervisors and other department personnel.
• Perform duties as delegated by Head Chef.
• Maintain established food safety policies.
• Be at workstation at start of shift.
• Comply with safety policies and Dress Code.
