Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following duties, in addition to other assigned tasks:

1. Keeps Deli service areas well stocked and appealing, greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns professionally.
2. Ensures freshness and proper display of merchandise, handles spoiled or damaged products according to standards.
3. Uses slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses, packages items, and prepares ready-to-eat foods and platters.
4. Follows recipes and safety policies when preparing various foods.
5. May operate cash register, adhering to proper money handling procedures and legal requirements for tobacco and alcohol sales.
6. Maintains sanitation, follows cleaning schedules, and disposes of trash properly.
7. Assists with inventory control, minimizes losses, and handles products properly.
8. May assist with receiving and storing deliveries, operating equipment as trained.
9. Cooperates with team members to ensure department and store smooth operation, and seeks continuous improvement.
10. Utilizes all provided PPE to ensure safety.
11. May assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Successful performance requires the ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Education or experience includes:
