Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Keeps Deli service areas well stocked and appealing to meet customer demands. Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns professionally.
2. Ensures freshness and proper signage of merchandise, handles spoiled or damaged products, and manages product rotation.
3. Operates slicing equipment for meats and cheeses, packages items, and prepares ready-to-eat foods and platters.
4. Adheres to recipes and safety policies when preparing various foods.
5. May operate cash register, handling money accurately and following legal requirements for tobacco and alcohol sales.
6. Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and displays.
7. Assists in inventory control, minimizing losses through proper handling and documentation.
8. May assist with receiving deliveries and other related duties, with training provided.
9. Ensures department and store functions smoothly through teamwork and continuous improvement.
10. Uses all provided PPE correctly.
11. May assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements
