Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain well-stocked and appealing Deli service areas, greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally.
2. Ensure freshness of merchandise, proper pricing, and correct signage. Handle spoiled or near-expiry products according to company standards.
3. Operate slicing equipment to prepare meats and cheeses, package items with appropriate labels, and prepare ready-to-eat foods and platters.
4. Follow recipes and safety policies when preparing various hot and cold foods.
5. Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately, adhering to policies and legal requirements.
6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following schedules and health regulations.
7. Assist with inventory control, proper product handling, and loss prevention.
8. Support other duties such as recycling, receiving deliveries, and store cooperation as needed.
9. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly and assist in other departments when required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not currently include supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
