Job summary

Sun State Provisions Inc. is seeking a Sales/Account Representative (Vendor Rep) to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain visibility of Boar's Head products in retail locations.

This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships while promoting premium deli products. Responsibilities include conducting checks on delivered goods, removing outdated items, inventory-based ordering, merchandising, and training customer staff to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in deli or supermarket sales or customer service.
• Able to work very early mornings (5AM start).
• Knowledge of food industry and retail operations is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct itemized check-ins of delivered goods with customer representatives.
• Remove out-of-date products from shelves and issue credits.
• Create orders from inventory levels twice per week.
• Execute merchandising resets and identify cross-merchandising opportunities.
• Merchandise deli cases and retail planograms with accurate prices and date rotations.
• Provide 1-on-1 training to customer employees on service, product knowledge, pairings, and slicing techniques.
• Complete Go-Spot-Check missions to ensure brand standards.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers by engaging with deli management.
• Conduct product sampling to increase awareness and drive sales.
• Complete additional activities or special projects as assigned.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing businesses to strengthen market presence.
